The Project

As part of the Framework Agreement for cooperation between the Lombardy Region and the National Research Council (CNR), signed July 16, 2012 , the project proposal entitled “MbMM – basic methodologies for innovation in the diagnosis and treatment of multifactorial diseases ” was presented by six CNR Institutes, part of the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Lombardy.

The approved project began on July 25, 2013 and has a duration of 2 years.

Objective and general purpose of the research project is to create an integrated platform of methodologies and basic skills in the field of life sciences to be applied to the study of multifactorial diseases and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies (MbMM platform).

The creation of such a platform is a natural justification in the multidisciplinary expertise of the CNR Institutes involved, which fully represent the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Lombardy.

The researches are focused on Parkinson’s disease and Regenerative Medicine.
