“Open Doors” an event of popular science that aims to bring the public and in particular young people to scientific research is an iniziative of the third edition of the European Biotech Week (EBW), promoted by EuropaBio (European Association of Biotechnology) and Assobiotec (National Association for the Development of Biotechnology). The Institute of Molecular Genetics (IGM) will open its doors to citizens and the business world in Pavia in order to illustrate the importance and applications of biotechnology in biomedicine. In particular, the topic of the day will be the genetic information: what it is, what it does and how we can manipulate it to the benefit of our society.
