“DNA e RNA: dalle basi alla scena del crimine e oltre…”

The topic of the day will be the genetic information:
what it does and how we can manipulate it to the benefit of our society.

15.35 Laura Zannini: “DNA damage: the strength and weakness of cancer”

Group Activities

In the footsteps of the genes: an interactive tour where attendants can meet the
IGM-CNR researchers and learn about:
– Analysis and manipulation of nucleic acids (DNA/RNA)
– Analysis and manipulation of proteins
– Cell culture and microscopical observation of cells and histological samples
– Bionformatics and population genetics
Practical demonstrations will be given with the instruments available in the IGM-CNR laboratories.

Lab Escape: solve the riddles and find the keys to escape from the lab.
A biology game for teams of all ages with lots of fun.

18.00 Farewell cocktail (courtesy of Euroclone).
A take home gadget will be offered to all partecipants.
