Center for Bioinformatic Analysis for Genomics

CABGen, the Center for Bioinformatic Analysis  for Genomics, was born in 2010 at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, CNR, Pavia with the aim of developing a center with technological resources and skills appropriate to the analysis of  "genome-wide" data with particular interest in the study of complex human diseases and the understanding of the population evolution.

The realization of CABGen was made possible thanks to the support and contribution of Fondazione Cariplo and relies on the collaboration of researchers from the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Applied Technology (IMATI), CNR, Pavia.

CABGen born in the tradition of population genetics studies started in the early seventies by Professor Luigi Luca Cavalli-Sforza. Cabgen aims to develop a center for biostatistics and bioinformatics studies for the analysis of large amounts of data from different technological approaches "genome-wide" like, applied to the study of diseases and human evolution.
