NETWORKING ACTIVITIES

The CNR has started the activity of the Italian Laminopathies Network which meets periodically at the IGM-Unit of Bologna. The Network has the purpose of gathering and coordinating all the Italian centers involved in clinical investigation and research in the field of pathologies caused by mutations of the lamin A/C sheet and other proteins of the nuclear envelope. The Italian Laminopathies Network (NIL) has a website providing updated information on the diseases, the centers involved and the progress of scientific research.

The IGM-Unit of Bologna participates in the TREAT-HGPS project TREAT-HGPS. In addition, the researchers of Bologna Unit are involved in various national and international networks with the aim of promoting translational medicine approaches:

– EPTRI – European Pediatric Translational Research Infrastructure

– ECLip – European Consortium for Lipodytrophies
